How To Get There

All international flights to Malta operate into Luqa airport.

Maltese national airline Air Malta offer weekly flights from a good range of the UK regional airports. Additionally, there are several operators offering charter flights to Malta, including no-frills operators such as Easyjet.

You can fly from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, East Midlands, Exete, Glasgow, London (all), Manchester and Norwich.

Floriana (Maltese: Furjana) is a town in Malta, just outside the capital city Valletta. Floriana is the birthplace of many famous Maltese, amongst which the composer of the national anthem, 'L-Innu Malti', Robert Samut; former Bishop of Malta Dom Mauro Caruana and the poet Oliver Friggieri.

Valletta is the capital of Malta and just 10km from the airport. Valletta is a fortified town, and are supposedly the best and most powerful old fortifications in the world ... we just see the beauty!

The Insider

Casa Rocca Piccola

The Casa Rocca Piccola is found at 74 Republic Street, Valletta, and is a magnificent 16th Century palace and the family home of the 9th Marquis de Piro. There are 12 rooms on display containing furniture and art from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. There are also some contemporary art works. National Museum of Archaeology

The museum displays a remarkable array of artifacts from Malta's unique prehistoric period. It is located on Auberge de Provence, Republic Street, Valletta and is open Monday to Sunday from 9.00 to 17.00.

Restaurant recommendations

We are often asked for dining recommendations and we usually reply that it is hard to go wrong in Malta! However, our favourite place for the evening is Spezzo, located at the Civil Service Sports Club on Archbishop Street, Valletta (t. 21 22 85 00)
