The Farm House is located in the beautiful, peaceful village of Xaghra and is only 900 metres from the central square, with its good choice of restaurants and bars. This is an excellent hideaway for a relaxing holiday
This spacious, light and airy farmhouse is full of character and Gozitan charm with its beautiful, mellow limestone walls and beamed ceilings.The living room has an arched ceiling and an authentic wood fireplace. The well equipped kitchen and dinning area overlooks the pool and terrace. Dar Ta Angelica has five bedrooms. A twin bedroom is located on ground floor with a separate bathroom and there are three bedrooms on the first floor. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a triple bedroom, all with ensuite bathrooms. Each bedroom also has a good sized balcony that overlooks the pool area. On the second floor is a very large bedroom with a double bed, an ensuite and its own terraces. This bedroom has a separate TV.
The patio doors from the kitchen area lead to a very pretty, walled, south facing sun terrace with outdoor dining furniture, sun beds and a built-in barbecue. This surrounds the lovely, kidney shaped 7.5 x 5 metre swimming pool and is an idyllic space to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing holiday.
There is a twice weekly maid service and linen is changed once a week
This farmhouse is situated in a small quiet street just 900m from the centre of the village of Xaghra and is a 10 minute walk to the local mini market. It has a delightful tree lined square at its centre with a couple of traditional restaurants and bars where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the very friendly locals. The square is dominated by the beautiful church of Our Lady of Victory which is adorned with marble and its main attraction is the statue of the young Virgin Mary, nicknamed il Bambina, that was brought from Marseilles in 1878. In Xaghra itself there is a pharmacy, a bakery and two banks with cash point services.
The village is encircled by the beautiful bays of Ramla, Ghajn Barrani and Marsalforn and offers fantastic views of the surrounding Gozitan landscape. Ramla with its honey-red sand is the nearest beach 5 minutes drive away and is by far the most popular beach on the Gozo.
Nothing is too far away on Gozo and the capital of Victoria is only a 10 minutes drive away. It is dominated by the ancient Citadel, a visit to which is considered a must for all visitors to the island. From the Citadel you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the whole island. In the centre of the capital is the square Piazza Indipendenza where you will find an open-air market every morning surrounded by busy pavement cafes. Just off of the main square is the magnificent St. George's Basilica. Here you can see a fantastic audio visual show known as Gozo 360 degrees.
Gozo is famous for diving and divers come from all over the world to enjoy the crystal clear pristine waters that surround the island namely the Blue Hole, Azure Window and Reqqa Reef.
The gateway to Gozo, charming Mgarr Harbour, is 10 minutes drive away and has a selection of typical restaurants and from the adjacent marina you can enjoy fishing and boat trips around this tiny island known as the Jewel of the Mediterranean.
All international flights to Malta operate into Luqa airport. Maltese national airline Air Malta offer weekly flights from a good range of the UK regional airports. Additionally, there are several operators offering charter flights to Malta, but the island has so far stayed off limits for budget airlines (except Ryanair from Luton).
You can fly from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, East Midlands, Exete, Glasgow, London (all), Manchester and Norwich.
Helicopter flights are available between Luqa airport and Gozo (GZM).
