It is in an excellent location on the edge of the village of Xewkija, just 10 minutes from Victoria, the capital of the island and 5 kilometres from the nearest beach.
This attractive, two storey property has retained its original Gozitan features, with honey coloured limestone walls, high ceilings and traditional archways adding to its charm. It has a well furnished, open plan living room with a fireplace and a ceiling fan. There is a large combined kitchen and dining room which provides everything necessary for a self catering holiday. Ta Genazi has four good sized bedrooms, all with ceiling fans. On the ground floor there is one with twin beds and access to a bathroom. An internal spiral staircase leads to the first floor where three bedrooms are located. They consist of two bedrooms with double beds and one with twin beds, of which two have en-suite shower rooms.
A delightful, secluded courtyard provides a sheltered venue in which to relax in the long hours of warm, summer sun. Sunbeds and an al fresco dining area together with a barbecue surround the lovely 5.75 x 4 metre swimming pool accessed by ladder steps and has an adjacent pool side shower. A first floor, partially covered, external terrace has stone steps down to the courtyard and views of the Ta Cenc cliffs.
For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service with a mid week towel change and bathroom clean.
This townhouse is situated within the traditional village of Xewkija, just 500 metres from the centre. It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest mini market and there a couple of small, local bars within a 5 minute drive. Both the capital of Victoria and the picturesque fishing village of Mgarr are a 10 minute drive away and provide the nearest restaurants.
All international flights to Malta operate into Luqa airport. Maltese national airline Air Malta offer weekly flights from a good range of the UK regional airports. Additionally, there are several operators offering charter flights to Malta, but the island has so far stayed off limits for budget airlines.
You can fly from Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, East Midlands, Exete, Glasgow, London (all), Manchester and Norwich.
Helicopter flights are available between Luqa airport and Gozo (GZM).
